About Carlos Gadala-Maria

A graduate from the University of Miami, Carlos Gadala-Maria gained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. A few years later, he pursued additional education at University of Michigan where he graduated with a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting. For the past two decades, Carlos Gadala-Maria has operated as a financial professional. Beginning his career as an Analyst, he then advanced to become a Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Specialist. Currently, Carlos Gadala-Maria serves as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of VectorGlobal WMG.

Residing in Florida, Carlos Gadala-Maria oversees the daily operations of VectorGlobal WMG, an international securities broker dealer working with clients in over 10 countries. Advancing to the position of CEO in 2007, he increased sales 240 percent and expanded the company’s worldwide presence by broadening services and products to include commodities trading, asset management, and insurance.

Prior to joining VectorGlobal WMG, Carlos Gadala-Maria served as a Senior Director, Region Head at American Express Bank International, overseeing the Bank’s Private Banking operation in Latin America.  He held this position for 9 years and helped to expand the Bank’s presence in Mexico and Central America.  Prior to that, Mr. Gadala-Maria was responsible for supervising emerging markets and high yield fixed income mutual funds at The Americas Trust Bank, where he earned Best in Class awards from LatinFinance and Lipper for two of the funds he managed. In order to maintain consistent exemplary performance among comparable indices and peer groups, he conducted thorough and extensive research on all credits in the emerging markets, high yield sector.
